Humble Bee wigwams promise to give your ‘little tribe’ a holiday which is a bit on the wild side!

Our cosy wigwams sleep up to five people so you can enjoy nights around the campfire under the stars, toasting marshmallows and look forward to a snug night’s sleep. Our timber wigwams are insulated with electric sockets and an electric heater, you can park next to your wigwam and each wigwam has its own picnic bench. Each wigwam is named after a well-known local landmark: Filey Brigg, Scarborough Castle, Bempton Cliffs and Whitby Abbey.

The wigwams are situated in their own ‘village’ surrounded by the Yorkshire Wolds, with the children’s play area nearby, complete with fireman’s pole. Why not collect fresh eggs for breakfast, meet some farmyard friends, including our inquisitive pigs, cows and calves? Don’t forget to pay the duck pond a visit and meet our Aylesbury ducks. We have a number of beautiful walks around the farm, including a section of the Wolds Way - there’s always lots going on at Humble Bee Farm!

Each wigwam is fully heated, with fire pits available for hire from our onsite shop.

Dogs welcome (by prior arrangement), and electricity is included in the tariff.

Our new amenities block, located in the heart of the site, is scheduled for opening at Spring 2010 (see information below). This is in addition to our existing toilets, laundry and showers next to the shop. Our shop sells lots of wigwam merchandise: head dresses, tee-shirts and lots more to help get into the wigwam way of life, as well as essentials including milk, bread, tea, coffee, local bacon sausages and eggs and other items during busy times.

Please note we only accept groups of unaccompanied adults aged 21 and over.

Fabulous new amenity block, scheduled opening Spring 2010, including:

• Separate male and female toilets and shower
• Family/disabled shower room
• Baby changing facilities
• Indoor wash-up area
• Fridge/freezer and microwave for customer use
• Central heating
• Book exchange (select and swap a book from the range of titles)
• Powered by solar panels

The beautiful Yorkshire Coast is close by, including resorts such as Filey, Scarborough, Whitby, Flamborough and Bridlington. The North York Moors National Park and Dalby Forest with its cycle routes are also nearby. Don’t forget the wonderful market towns such as Beverley, Malton, Pickering and Driffield, and the wonderful attractions such as the North Yorkshire Moors Railway, Castle Howard, Sledmere House and many more besides. So if you love to surf, play golf, perhaps try your hand at fishing or just want to relax and take it easy, Humble Bee wigwams offer the perfect location for that perfect holiday.
