We named this cottage after the cheerful swallows that return each summer. Swallow’s Nest Cottage was originally a mews building, this attractive cottage include welcoming decor in natural shades, two en-suite bedrooms with compfortable mattresses, and a light, airy living area including comfortable sofas, a log burner, fully-fitted kitchen, dining area and beamed ceilings. Dogs welcome (tariff applies). Superfast WiFi included. Warm, underfloor heating provided.Private luxury hot tub under a pergola with festoon lights, perfect for star gazing. Very close to superb walks and rambles, including the spectacular Yorkshire Wolds Way National Trail. Parking space provided, dog permitted (pooch tariff applies). Open all year.

his access statement does not contain personal opinions as to our suitability for those with access needs, however it does aim to describe the main facilities and services that we offer all our guests/visitors. Access for Humble Bee Farm Cottages We are located at Humble Bee Farm, just outside Flixton between Filey and Scarborough. Merry Dale and Swallow’s Nest Cottages are each on the ground floor with large kitchen dining area, lounge, main bedroom (en-suite with shower over bath, w.c. and wash basin) and twin bedroom (with en-suite shower, w.c. and wash basin). There is communal laundry shared between Merry Dale and Swallows Nest Cottages. Both Merry Dale and Swallow’s Nest Cottages each have their own private outdoor hot tub. Pre-Arrival For directions please refer to our website www.humblebeefarm.co.uk The easy way to get to us is to join the A1039 from any of the main routes, head into Flixton village, taking the Redgate Garage turning and proceeding up Flixton Hill, with the entrance to our site clearly signposted from the road. Car Parking and Arrival A chalk-rubble parking area is allocated to guests and is positioned within 10 to 20 yards of the cottages. There is a sensor light that is activated with movement in the courtyard. The entrances to Merry Dale and Swallows Nest have around an 8 inch step from the exterior at both front and rear. Reception there is a main reception area that has a 6 inch step to get inside. Staff are happy to meet, greet and assist guests on arrival. Bedrooms in Merry Dale and Swallow’s Nest CottageMerry Dale Main Bedroom – contains a double bed, chests of drawers, two bedside cabinets, wardrobe; Second bedroom – chests of drawers, two bedside cabinets, wardrobe; zip and link bed. Swallows Nest Main Bedroom – contains a double bed, chests of drawers, two bedside cabinets, wardrobe; Second bedroom – chests of drawers, two beside cabinets, wardrobe; zip and link bed. All doors in these cottages are 27 inches in width. There is an 8 inch step into the shared laundry facility. Hot tub from floor to lip are 40 inches, with two small steps. Merry Dale Cottage only has two patio step, measuring 4 inches and 6 inches. Bathrooms, Shower-rooms & Toilets in Merry Dale and Swallow’s Nest Main Bedrooms Toilet 15 inches from floor Wash basin 32 inches from floor Bath (with shower over) 22 inches from floor, movable shower screen & fixed grab rail over the bath. In the second bedrooms, bathroom suite measurements: Toilet 15 inches from the floor Washbasin 32 inches from the floor Shower 8 inches from floor There are no handrails or supports in these cottages. We show guests around the cottages upon arrival and assistance can be given with luggage upon arrival. Lighting is supplied from a central ceiling, with blue tooth mirrors, shaver point. Stayed in Swallows Nest Cottage for two weeks en of August. What a great place to stay lovely warm welcome from owners. The cottage was a home from home with all you need with extra of a Hot tub. Whole site is great plenty of walks, animals to see with fresh eggs to collect. Free wildlife walks with Susie from the RSVO are great, home made pizzas are great and delivered to your door. So much to do around the area even if weather is not so good. Would definitely stay again.
